Anywhere, anytime. The linen sling can be used from birth, even for the physiological carrying of premature babies, and until the end of babywearing (4 years). It can be put on in 30 seconds and fits anywhere.

The sling, for everyone. An easy-to-install carrying method that both parents can use without difficulty, easy to slip into a diaper bag.

Using your ring sling requires a little practice, like everything else in life. With repeated use, carrying your baby in a sling will become second nature! When you purchase a Bud & Blossom sling, we recommend watching our video tutorials. If needed, a consultation with a babywearing consultant is offered free of charge with every purchase. We also recommend practicing your preferred carrying technique by following these guidelines:

  • Keep the baby's face uncovered and their chin away from their chest to keep their airways clear.
  • Carry the baby high enough, at kissing height!
  • Support the baby's neck if needed, especially for newborns.
  • Ensure that the baby's bottom is lower than their knees with a rounded back. The fabric should be distributed from one knee to the other.
  • Keep the rings just below your shoulder (bodice position).
  • Make sure the fabric is spread across your shoulder and is narrow across the baby's back.
  • You and baby should be comfortable; if not, try repositioning the baby. A little practice may be necessary!

Linen is one of the most suitable fabrics for making baby carriers. In addition to being naturally hypoallergenic, this timeless fabric becomes softer and more supple with each use and wash. It's ideal for babies thanks to its lightness while still providing warmth in winter. Furthermore, it's a natural and eco-friendly fabric that requires no irrigation or chemical treatment.

Washing instructions:

  • Machine wash at 40°C. Cover the rings with a sock.
  • Use a laundry detergent that does not contain dyes.
  • Can be tumble dried.
  • Steam iron after washing (linen loves heat).

Before first use, wash your sling according to the washing instructions, then steam iron it before it is completely dry.

Pull the fabric through the rings.

Braid your sling.

Put the sling in the dryer.

Above all, carry your baby in the sling! The fabric softens with use.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The key to a good sling setup is to create a rocking motion! A baby sitting comfortably with a rounded back and knees higher than their bottom—in short, a physiological position! To achieve this, when setting up the sling, we recommend creating a fold (that is, rolling the sling into a small roll and not fully extending the fabric). Then, position your baby securely ON this fold, with the fabric in the crook of their knees and their bottom suspended. Once this position is achieved, slide the fabric down to the nape of your baby's neck.

Make sure the fabric is taut across the back; any excess should be tucked under your baby's bottom. If you need help, feel free to check out our featured stories! Even better, you can book a 30-minute video workshop with a certified babywearing consultant.

  • The sling can be used from birth until the child is three years old. It is also a carrying method used for premature babies.

  • Your return may be accepted if the following conditions are met:

    • Having contacted customer service beforehand to assess the problem.
    • Return the package within 14 days of receiving your order.
    • Not having used the carrying method.
    • Not having washed it.
    • Return the entire package.

All returns are at the customer's expense.

  • This is a common concern for parents, but in reality, adjusting the sling allows your baby to be in a safe position. The fabric sits in the crook of your knees with your bottom suspended; this position is physiological and safe for your baby, who is close to you. If you're unsure about how to properly adjust your sling, please don't hesitate to contact us so we can check it together. Furthermore, with Bud & Blossom, you'll receive a free 30-minute online babywearing workshop with one of our certified instructors with every sling purchase from our shop.
