The Sling

We'll help you with your sling , just follow the guide !

The sling is a ring sling, a practical and easy-to-use baby carrier . When you put it on for the first time, you might need some help understanding how it works. Once you start using the sling , you'll become an expert in ergonomic babywearing ! The first step is to place the rings on your left or right shoulder, depending on which side you want to position your baby on. Then, pass the fabric through the center of the ring before sliding the top hem between the two rings. Once this is done, pull the fabric out of the sling between the two rings to smooth it out and ensure it's evenly distributed. This part of the sling allows you to loosen or tighten the fit! Once you're properly positioned, you can pull the fabric back up and move the rings over your shoulder. Before placing your baby in the sling, you can measure the pouch with your elbow.

To carry your baby , start by putting on your sling with the rings high on your shoulder. Hold your child in your arms and place their feet under the fabric. Then, sit them up, bringing the fabric up to the back of their neck. Your baby should be in a physiological carrying position , that is, with their legs in an "M" shape, knees higher than their bottom. You can now extend the fabric and thread it through the rings. Once your baby is comfortably positioned, you can adjust the support by tightening the folds where needed. Your child's head should be at kissing height, their back rounded and covered by the fabric, with the rings on your shoulder. Remember to keep the fabric taut across your back to avoid discomfort!

Physiological position, points to consider:

Safety Rules

  • Make sure your child's airways are always clear and their face is uncovered
  • Hold your baby at kissing height!
  • Make sure your child's head is always well supported.
  • Create a good seat by placing enough fabric under your child's bottom and distributing the fabric from one back of the knee to the other. The bottom should be lower than the knees.
  • The fabric should be spread out well over your shoulder and stretched taut across the baby's back
  • You and your baby should be comfortable; if not, try repositioning the baby. A little practice may be necessary!
  • When using this product, supervise your child at all times.

Washing instructions

  • Machine wash at 40°C. Cover the rings with a sock.
  • Use a laundry detergent that does not contain dyes.
  • Can be tumble dried
  • Steam iron after washing (linen loves heat)

Important

When tightening your sling, please lift your baby's bottom to give the fabric some slack. This will prevent tearing and damaging the fabric fibers. Improper use could result in your carrier tearing.
